Beer Day 12: That the Legendary Baseball Manager is back!

Beer is the reason:  Cito Gaston is back!

This man brings back fond memories of childhood happiness. I was such a big Toronto Blue Jay.  Dave Stieb, Jimmy Key, Tom Henke,  Ernie Whitt, Buck Martinez, Damaso Garcia, Alfredo Griffin, Willie Upshaw, Jesse Barfield, George Bell, Rance Mullinik, Manny Lee, Kelly Gruber, Bobby Cox....etc etc etc.   Such good times....but it all culminated when Bobby Cox left and Cito Gaston became manager.

This is the man who brought us our two World Series wins in 92, 93.  This is the man who brought us WAMCO. White.  Alomar.  Molitor.  Carter.  Olerud.    The baseball strike in 1994 ruined what could have been an all Canadian World Series showdown with Toronto leading the AL and Montreal Expos leading the NL.   The team slowly fell apart after that with egos clashing,  players getting old, and money.

And now that Toronto was supposed to have a great team again, they falter.    TBJ decide to reach into the past and bring back a legend.  Let's hope that Cito Gaston can bring some of his magic back and get this team back on the winning track.

Let's Go!  Blue Jays!  Let's!  Play!  Ball!

The blog has been unofficially been brought to you by Blue.
